You would think with a black pump for diesel and a green pump for petrol, nothing could be easier but I still got it wrong.  As I was still at the fuel pump I went to see the garage cashier who gave me your name and phone number.  So thanks for being so quick and so efficient.  Crisis over and it will certainly teach me to take more care in future.
